Turó d'en Mota is considered Spain's top sparkling wine and awarded with the highest points by the Wine Advocate.

This exceptional and unique sparkling wine is made from a single variety, Xarel.lo, from a single 0.97-hectare vineyard that was planted in 1940 on the property of the Recaredo family, on the north side of a hill named "Turó d'en Mota", in the higher ground of the Alt Pendés region, which is mainly composed of highly calcareous terrain.

Recaredo vineyards are cultivated organically; the wines have not been treated with herbicides or insecticides. The entire vinification is done exclusively in-house.

Production:

Hand-harvested grapes, long-aged wines, remain in the darkness of the caves for 150 months (a minimum of 13 years) in contact with their lees until they achieve a truly unique character.

Secondary fermentation and bottle ageing are done exclusively with natural cork stoppers. Artisanal disgorgement, done by hand without freezing the neck of the bottle. The disgorger releases the sediment manually at natural cellar temperature, with those skills that come only from experience.

It is a 100% dry cava with no sugar added. Limited edition of 2646 bottles. Sulphur: 32mg/l.
