Production:

Vi de Vila de la Vilella Alta, a brand-new release by Mas Alta, is a single-estate wine made from white varieties, including white Grenache and other white varieties. 2014 was their first vintage of this exceptional, complex white wine of very small production.

It comes from a single plot of young vines planted in 2008 on clay-lime soils. An exceptional finca situated on the southern slopes of the Montsant mountain range, between Scala Dei and the village of La Vilella Alta, at an altitude of 300-500 metres above sea level.

Cultivated ecologically and is in the process of converting to biodynamic.

The wine has aged in new French oak for 6 months with its lees, followed by 4 months in foudre.

Production total: 1235 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

Lively, generous aromas of stone fruit with a hint of spiciness, stylish and very expressive. Broad and rich, with a lovely texture and well-shaped; oak and fruit are well blended, and it is wide with a long, elegant finish.
