Production: 

Monovarietal wine elaborated from Syrah grapes sourced from their own vineyards, planted on slated terraces within the municipal district of Alcover (Tarragona). Brief ageing in new oak barrels for 6 months.

Tasting Notes:

The nose is intense, combining very ripe red fruit and hints of violet with a distinct spiciness and vanilla, coffee, and chocolate notes. Round and silky on the palate, with jammy red fruit and hints of spice with slightly smoky notes, and good length.

THE WINERY

Founded in 1851, De Muller is a top name in Tarragona, very well-known worldwide for being the supplier of the traditional Mass wine and for its rancio and fortified wines. At present, De Muller offers a very wide range of quality wines under the Denomination of Origin Tarragona, as well as in Priorat and Terra Alta.

Since the beginning of 1996, the winery surrounded by its vineyards has been located in the finca “Mas de Valls” in Reus (Tarragona). Their modern installations have a capacity for a production of four million litres, and here they elaborate the Tarragona Denomination of Origin wines, all sourced from their 150 ha of their own vineyards. They also have a property in the village of El Molar, in the south-eastern part of the Priorat, with 34 ha of vineyards, "Mas de les Pusses”, and a new cellar with a capacity for 500,000 litres, where they produce the Priorat Denomination of Origin wines.
