Production:

2013 was the first vintage for this new project by Josep Grau, sourced from 25 ha of low-yielding old vines located in the municipal district of Marça, planted mainly with the native Grenache and Samsó, ranging in age from 30 to 80 years old. The soils are made up of licorella, and the wine displays all the hallmarks of the terroir from where they come.

Volador is a blend of Grenache, Samsó, and Syrah, fermented in cement tanks and briefly aged for 4 months, partly in used French oak barrels and partly in cement tanks.

Tasting Notes:

Young, fresh, and succulent scents of berry fruit; floral notes with light toasted touches; and marked minerality.

Notes: Drinking beautifully now and over the next 2-3 years.
