Production: 

Established in 1898, the Padró family has its wine-making origins in the village of Bràfim in the region known as the Camp of Tarragona. Today, under the charge of the fifth generation and following the same philosophy as their ancestors, the winery is producing quality bulk and bottled wine, liqueur wines and vermouths.

The range of vermouth Padró & Co. pays homage to the vermouth which was sold originally in bulk directly from the cellars. Vermouth made from a unique infusion of aromatic herbs and aged in barrel before bottling.

The Reserva Especial is a red vermouth made using a sweet liqueur wine in the style of the great fortified drinks made at their own cellars and known as the Tarragona Clasics. They have aged 7,000-litre oak vats, and in the final coupage, a small amount of solera wine is added, together with their own special touch of vermouth herbs.

Tasting Notes:

Sweeter and intense aromas characteristic of long ageing, dried figs, roasted hazelnuts, and green walnuts. Warm and smooth on the palate, with flavours of liquorice and medicinal herbs, and a sweetness feeling complemented with a slight bitter tone.

To be served cold with ice and orange peel.
