Production:

Quality sparkling wine elaborated from organic agriculture with a singular blend that emphasises the fruity grape varietal characteristics. Grown in a historic Barcelona wine valley

Harvested and vinified on the Llopart family estate. Bottle fermented, "Méthode Champenoise". Aged in bottle for at least 18 months.

Residual sugar content of 7 gr/l.

Tasting Notes:

Pale cherry colour, displaying small and constant bubbles. On the nose, it shows marked ageing tones that blend in well with the aromas of wild fruit. Powerful and pleasant entry in the mouth with the right acidity, fruit weight, and good balance all the way through.

Note: Best consumed up to 12–18 months after the disgorgement date. Ideal to drink it on its own, as an aperitif, or with light meals.

THE WINERY

Cava Llopart is one of Spain's oldest Cava Houses; the family’s history dates back to 1385, and the first Cava Llopart bottles were produced in 1887 at the old country house cellar. Despite a difficult beginning due to the phylloxera plague at the end of the XIX century, they managed to pull together with effort and hope, introducing the most suitable grape varieties to elaborate high expression and complex cavas.

Today, Cavas Llopart are consolidated as a high-quality product, remaining true to their roots by using exclusive craft elaboration methods in accordance with the strict traditional system “Champenoise”. They elaborate their sparkling wines at the family’s country estate, "Can Llopart de Subirats", situated in a mountainous area geologically formed 22 million years ago, where a large number of molluse fossils have been discovered, and the balanced grounds with a moderate level of nutrients and organic compost, as well as the appropriated microclimate with a moderate rainfall, shape the ideal setting for vine cultivation, resulting in concentrated, balanced grapes of great fineness, which will define the personality of all their cavas and wines.

The wines from the winery are organically farmed and produced, duly certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture.

Cava LLopart is a founding member of the new brand, CORPINNAT, which stands for a collective European Union brand established with the aim of distinguishing great sparkling wines made in the heart of the Penedès from 100% organic manual harvest, 100% vinification on the premises of the winery, and long ageing.
