A personal project of Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz, it is an excellent white wine of small production. It is a skilful blend of grapes coming from a single and unique vineyard called "La Sinia de Selma", located at 750 metres of altitude in the village of Pla de Manlleu in the Alt Camp, Penedés, with vines planted over more than a decade and growing on soils of clay and limestone predominantly. It is commercialised without any Denomination of Origin seal because of the grapes used for its elaboration.
The wine is organically farmed using biodynamic principles, with a great emphasis on the respect of nature and the expression of the terroir. Respect for the environment makes itself felt throughout the winemaking process, from the grape harvest down to the bottling.
The grapes are hand-harvested and hand-sorted. Barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 8 months with its lees in 225-litre oak barrels, followed by some time resting in bottle.
Tasting Notes: Dry white wine, very expressive, warm, fat and mineral; white fruit and citrus notes; weighty; good acidity with a lovely long dry finish.
Notes: It is recommended to decant or let the wine breathe in the glass in order to achieve its maximum flavour. Good ageing potential.
